Victorian authorities announced changes to a range of COVID19 measures on Wednesday 20th April.
The changes bring to an end vaccine mandates across the hospitality and entertainment industries as well as isolation rules for household contacts reported The Guardian.
Also gone are mask mandates at schools, hospitality, retail and all events. QR code check-ins are no longer required at any venue The Age reported.
The raft of measures come into effect Friday at 11.59pm.
Close contacts no longer have to isolate. They will however still need to wear a mask indoors, when outside and rapid tests will be required before seeing people outside their home News.com.au reported.
The changes bring to an end some of Australia’s most draconian COVID-19 restrictions and were met with little praise.
